HTML 5 and SEO

So if you work in SEO you’re probably more than aware of the new HTML5 format and the variety of new tags this has introduced (not to be confused with Microformats which I will be covering soon). Unfortunately I have found it’s always difficult to get people of different areas of expertise in the same room within the same agency. Google use longer snippets and scrap the description tag

Google have decided that the best way to serve long tail queries is to remove the use of the description tag in the SERPs and replace it with a longer snippet taken from the text on page.
